How to use Fill PDF form

  1. Add your PDF form

Drop a PDF with fillable fields onto the page. Every field is outlined on the page and listed beside it, in order from top to bottom.

  2. Fill in the fields

Type answers, tick boxes, pick options and choose from lists. Tap an outline on the page to jump to its field, and watch the count of required fields left.

  3. Save your filled PDF

Keep the form fillable so answers can still be changed, or flatten it so they become part of the page. Then click Save filled PDF.

Why use Utils365

  • The form’s own fields

Answers go into the real form fields, not text pasted on top, so the file works in any PDF reader and can be filled again later.

  • Every kind of field

Text boxes, multi-line boxes, checkboxes, radio buttons, dropdowns and list boxes are all supported, with required fields marked.

  • Any language

Answers in Chinese, Arabic, Hindi and other scripts are kept, and flattening draws them with your device’s fonts so they look right.

  • Your file stays with you

Everything happens in your browser, so your PDFs are never uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions

How do I fill out a PDF form?

Add the PDF, type your answers into the fields listed beside the pages, then click Save filled PDF. Tap any outline on a page to jump to that field.

What does flattening do?

It makes your answers part of the page, so they can’t be changed and look the same everywhere. Choose Keep fillable if you or someone else needs to edit them later.

Why does it say my PDF has no fillable fields?

Some PDFs are just printed forms with lines to write on. Use Edit PDF to type text on top of the page instead.

Can I fill forms made with Adobe LiveCycle?

Forms that only exist as XFA (made with Adobe LiveCycle) can’t be filled here; open them in Adobe Acrobat Reader. If the file also has normal form fields, those are filled and the XFA part is removed.

Will totals and calculated fields update?

No. A form’s own scripts don’t run here, so type totals in yourself, or open the saved file in Adobe Acrobat Reader to recalculate them.

Can I sign the form too?

Signature fields are shown but can’t be filled here. After saving, use Sign PDF to add your signature.

Is my form uploaded?

No. The form is read and filled in your browser, so your answers never leave your device.
