Frequently asked questions
Can I change the text that’s already in the PDF?
Not directly. Cover the words with white-out, then type the new text on top. To rewrite a whole document, convert it with PDF to Word instead.
Does white-out remove the text underneath?
No. It only hides it from view; the original text is still in the file and can be copied. Don’t use it to hide private information.
Can I fill in a PDF form?
Yes. Fields in the PDF become boxes you can type into, tick or choose from, and the answers are saved in the form.
Can I add my signature?
Yes. Choose Signature, draw it or type your name in a handwriting style, then drag it into place. It’s a picture of your signature, not a certified digital signature.
Will my edits look the same in other PDF readers?
Yes. Everything you add becomes part of the page, so it looks the same in any PDF reader and when printed.
Is there a size limit?
You can edit PDFs up to 50 MB. Long documents are fine: pages are drawn as you scroll to them.
Can I edit a password-protected PDF?
Remove the password first with Unlock PDF, then open the file here.
