How to use CSV to Excel

  1. Add your CSV

Paste CSV text or open a .csv or .tsv file. A preview shows the first rows.

  2. Check the options

The separator (comma, semicolon or tab) is detected for you. Keep the header row and number options on for most files.

  3. Download the XLSX

Click Convert to Excel and open the file in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers.

Why use Utils365

  • Numbers you can calculate with

Numbers are stored as numbers, while values like 007 or ZIP codes keep their leading zeros.

  • Ready to read

The header row is bold and stays visible while you scroll.

  • Handles tricky CSVs

Quoted fields, commas inside values and line breaks in cells all come through correctly.

  • Private by design

Conversion happens in your browser; your data is never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

My CSV uses semicolons. Does that work?

Yes. Comma, semicolon and tab separators are detected automatically, or you can choose one.

Will leading zeros be kept?

Yes. Values like 007 stay as text, so their zeros aren’t lost.

Is it safe for spreadsheets with formulas?

Yes. Text that looks like a formula, such as =SUM(), is stored as plain text, so nothing runs when you open the file.

How big can the file be?

Up to 50 MB, and up to Excel’s limit of about a million rows.
