Why use Utils365
Only real changes
Line breaks, spacing and text that moved to another page aren’t counted, so you see what was actually reworded, added or removed.
Side by side
Removed text is red in the old version and added text green in the new one, on the pages as they look.
Take it with you
Download both versions with the changes highlighted, and a plain list of every change to share or check off.
Private by design
Everything happens in your browser, so your PDFs are never uploaded to a server.
Frequently asked questions
How do I compare two PDF files?
Add the old version and the new version, then click Compare PDFs. The changes are highlighted in both and listed in order.
Does it compare images and layout?
No. It compares the text, word by word. A changed picture, color or position isn’t reported.
Can it compare scanned PDFs?
A scan has no text to compare. Make both files searchable with OCR PDF first, then compare them.
Why isn’t a moved paragraph shown as a change?
Text that flows onto another page or line because something was added before it is the same text, so only the addition is shown.
Is there a size limit?
Each PDF can have up to 300 pages and be up to 50 MB.
Are my documents uploaded?
No. Both files are read and compared in your browser and never leave your device.
