How to use Pages per sheet

  1. Add your PDF

Drop a PDF onto the page. A small diagram shows how the first sheet will look.

  2. Pick a layout

Choose 2, 4, 6 or 9 pages per sheet, or Booklet. Set the page order, sheet size, gaps, margin and borders. Tick Right-to-left for Arabic or Hebrew documents.

  3. Download and print

Click Make PDF and save the file. For a booklet, print double-sided, flip on the short edge, then fold the stack and staple along the fold.

Why use Utils365

  • Saves paper

Four pages per sheet uses a quarter of the paper, which is handy for handouts, slides and drafts you want to read on paper.

  • Sharp, not blurry

Pages are placed as they are, not turned into pictures, so text and lines stay crisp at any size.

  • Booklets in the right order

Pages are rearranged for saddle-stitch printing and blank pages are added where needed, so the folded booklet reads from start to finish.

  • Your file stays with you

Everything happens in your browser, so your PDFs are never uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions

What is N-up printing?

It means putting several pages on one sheet of paper, shrunk to fit. 2-up puts two pages side by side, and 4-up puts four in a 2 × 2 grid.

How do I print the booklet?

Print the file double-sided and choose flip on short edge. Stack the sheets in order, fold them in half and staple along the fold. The page order is already set for this.

Why were blank pages added to my booklet?

Every folded sheet holds four pages, so a booklet needs a multiple of 4. Blank pages are added at the end to make up the difference.

Does it work for Arabic or Hebrew documents?

Yes. Tick Right-to-left and pages run from right to left across each row, and booklets are bound on the right.

Will links and form fields still work?

No. Links, form fields and comments don’t carry over, only what’s drawn on the page. To keep filled-in answers or highlights, flatten the PDF first.

Which paper sizes can I use?

A4 or US Letter. The sheet turns to landscape or portrait as the layout needs, and each page is scaled to fit its space without stretching.
