How to use Favicon generator

  1. Add your logo or image

Drop a PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF or SVG onto the page. A square image with a simple shape works best.

  2. Adjust the look

Crop to a square or fit the whole image, pick a transparent or coloured background, add padding and round the corners. The preview shows each size and a browser tab.

  3. Download and add the code

Download the ZIP, upload the files to your site’s root folder and paste the HTML lines into the head of your pages.

Why use Utils365

  • The complete set

favicon.ico with 16, 32 and 48 px inside, PNG favicons, the Apple touch icon, Android icons and site.webmanifest, all named the way browsers expect.

  • See it before you download

Check how the icon looks at its real sizes and in light and dark browser tabs, so tiny details don’t get lost.

  • Private by design

Everything happens in your browser, so your logo is never uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions

What favicon sizes do I need?

A favicon.ico (16, 32 and 48 px) covers browser tabs and bookmarks, a 180 px Apple touch icon covers iPhone and iPad home screens, and 192 and 512 px PNGs cover Android and installed web apps. This tool makes all of them from one image.

ICO, PNG or SVG: which favicon format should I use?

Use all three. favicon.ico works everywhere, including old browsers and tools that look for it automatically. PNG favicons give crisp results at set sizes. An SVG favicon stays sharp at any size; you get one when you start from an SVG.

What is an apple-touch-icon?

It’s the icon iPhones and iPads use when someone adds your site to their home screen. It’s 180 × 180 px and can’t be transparent, so it’s saved with a solid background (white if you chose transparent). iOS rounds the corners itself.

Where do I put the favicon files?

Unzip them into the root folder of your website, next to your home page, so favicon.ico is at yoursite.com/favicon.ico. Then paste the HTML lines shown on this page into the head section of every page, or into your site template.

Why doesn’t my new favicon show up?

Browsers keep favicons for a long time. Open the favicon’s address directly, do a hard refresh, or try a private window to see the new one.
