How to use WebP to AVIF

  1. Add your WebP images

Drop the .webp files onto the page, or click to choose them.

  2. Set the quality

Use the slider to balance file size and detail. The default suits most photos; raise it for prints, lower it for the smallest AVIF files.

  3. Convert and download

Click Convert, then save each image, or all of them at once as a ZIP.

Why use Utils365

  • Smaller than WebP

AVIF is typically 20–30% smaller than WebP at the same visual quality.

  • Transparency kept

Transparent backgrounds carry over to the AVIF file.

  • Private by design

Everything happens in your browser, so your images are never uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose quality?

Both formats are lossy, so converting adds a little loss. At the default setting it’s very hard to see; raise the quality to be safe.

Are animated WebP files supported?

They convert to a still AVIF of the first frame.

Why does converting take a while?

AVIF is slow to create: a few seconds per image.

Is it free?

Yes. It’s free with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many images you convert.
