Why use Utils365

  • Works with old systems

Some forums, email tools and legacy websites only accept GIF images.

  • Smart colour choice

Each image gets its own palette of the 256 colours that suit it best.

  • Private by design

Everything happens in your browser, so your images are never uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions

Will my photo look the same?

Close, but GIF is limited to 256 colours, so smooth gradients like skies can look slightly banded or grainy.

Can I make an animated GIF from several photos?

This tool makes one GIF per photo. To make an animation from a clip, use Video to GIF.

Why is the GIF bigger than the JPG?

GIF compresses photos poorly. For photos, JPG or WebP are usually much smaller.

Is it free?

Yes. It’s free with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many images you convert.
